As a major competence center, GKD-Buismet, South Africa, develops and exports special belts for demanding processing tasks in the mining industry as well as for the primary and oil industries in South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa, Australia, South America, the USA and Russia. Founded in 1994, the company also supplies innovative process belt solutions for the woodprocessing, paper, sewage sludge and chemicals industries. In addition, GKD-Buismet also covers selected areas of the other two business units in our WORLD WIDE WEAVE division. It produces many types of mesh for the local filtration market. There is also increasing demand in Africa for woven metallic architectural and design fabrics. Here, GKD-Buismet provides comprehensive service with finishing, attachment technology and installation.
The new works in Randfontein has a production area of 14,000 square meters and, after our headquarters in Düren, is our second largest facility worldwide.
