The automated discharge of retained solids as briquets makes both handling and appropriate disposal much easier. Process media are subjected to less transportation. The lower weight of the dry briquets considerably reduces disposal costs.

Filter aids and their disposal are no longer an issue, or are greatly reduced as a cost factor. The volume and weight of the residues discharged are substantially lower. As the residues are dry, process media can be used for longer periods of time. The lower delivery rate required of the pumps in cross-flow low pressure filtration also helps to reduce energy costs.

The filter body and filter discs, all made of stainless steel, can be used variably. The static filter discs and robust filter meshes guarantee uninterrupted operation.
